Hello,
I'm thinking about getting the M60ti, VP150, QS8 set for HT. would Yamaha RX-V1400 work well driving them to tak full advantage of them? or would these speakers demand better receiver in higher price range?
thanks,
Jason

Jason, in audio the correlation between price and sound quality is quite low and it can't be assumed that a more expensive receiver would be "better". The 1400 should have plenty of power for your equipment unless you play it at deafening volume in a very large room. Also, the significant advantage of the YPAO automatic room and speaker equalization should be considered.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

I have the exact speaker setup with the 1400. the sound is spectacular. you won't be disappointed. you can make your ears bleed before any sign of distortion.
