I thought Black & Decker was more-less the consumer version of Dewalt, no?
On a different note....Bosch tools, a friend who worked in tool sales told me there's a huge difference between Bosch contractor and home tools(slightly different colour). You often hear about Bosch(home) drills burning out.
I've not heard anything good about Dewalt saw blades either, at least not the ones you find in Home D.

I would recommend Diablo blades that can be had a Home Depot. They are the big box version of Freud blades. I have one on my Dewalt circular saw and it makes a huge difference in the cut.

I'm with Rob on that one. But I will use them, new, for only one large project before they go into the re-sharpening pile. I wouldn't do that with a Forrester, but then, I didn't spend $110 US for it and have to drive 30 miles to get one.
The Freud blades that go by Avanti are a bit better than the regular $40 ones (about $60).
Since this started with 7.25" blades for Brian's circ saw, understand that there are not as many choices for 7.25" as there are for 10".
Be sure they're carbide (unless it's an 80 tooth plywood blade), and if they cost less than around $15, don't buy them.
Also, if you buy Freud, make sure that it was made in Italy, not Chiner. Seriously.
Ignore the fact that it's a reformation of the Axis Powers.

Can I do this and will it work ok? Next month, I'll have a 3D tv and player, but not the receiver. (Note: All hdmi cable would be the newer kind that supports 3D. I'm assuming they are interchangeable in the plugs).
3D TV 3D blu-ray player 2D receiver
Run HDMI to an amplified splitter, from the player. Run one end to the TV. Run the other end to the receiver. Speakers attached to the receiver. No output running from the receiver to the TV.

Best answer found.
Buy a Panasonic 310 player. It has 2 hdmi outputs. 1.4 for TV and 1.3 for receiver.
"It is nearly identical to the 210, except it has a second HDMI output so you can bring HD audio into your non-3D-ready receiver."

I recalibrated my MCACC system again yesterday, then experimented a long time with different cross-over settings. My choices were, none, 50hz, 80hz, 100hz, 150hz, 200hz. I had set it to 50hz about 2 weeks ago. I used parts of the TRON movie for sound. I watched this movie a few days before with the 50hz setting. I was amazed at how much bass I had with the VP160 in the mix. But running up and down the scale of available cross-overs, I ended up settling on the 80hz setting again, mostly as a compromise. At the 50hz setting I had better and louder bass and sound effects, but the background music suffered quite a lot. With no cross-over and all frequencies sent to all speakers it sounded the worst of all. Music was muted and more distorted sounding. I sort of liked the 100hz setting, but I lost too much lower sound effects. It just didn't impress me as before. At least with the 80hz setting, I have most, but not all, of the lower sound effects, and most, but not all, of the higher sounds sounding clearly. 100hz and higher had the best higher end and music. Also, it seems that voices had a more natural sound with the cross-over in the 80hz range.

Using the Rives disc 2 CD that plays through the different frequency ranges, I had to make a modification to my closet door. It would vibrate at low frequencies. I used what was available around the house, which was a 3 foot piece of trim and some spray glue. I sprayed both surfaces and applied the trim, so that it held the door firmly in place when shut. The other noise was coming from one of the speakers as it hung on the wall. I pulled it away from the wall and let it fall back, this fixed that problem.

I was thinking about replacing my 37 inch Samsung LCD with a 50 inch Panasonic Plasma. 50 inch is the biggest that will fit without me having to move my speakers (except perhaps for the M2 on top). But, then I started thinking about how I could get a 70 inch into this spot. (Click on my signature link) I don't know where I'd put the speakers exactly, or how I'd place them. One option would be to just remove the top 3 speakers and go with the EP160 and the pair of M22 bookshelf. Or, mount the on-wall m22's below and the bookshelf M22's above and angled down. It's just a thought worth thinking about. So far all I've looked at is the Sharp 70 inch at BB for around $2000. But it's not 3D and it's not plasma, and the off angle viewing might be bad. I don't know what else is out there in the 70 inch with a reasonable price (say under $3000). There's always the Panasonic 65 inch GT or ST 50 plasma models too. Space wise, this wall is 65 inches from doorway frame on the left to hallway on the right. A 70 inch is 63.5 inches wide. What do you think? Is it worth changing my wall of sound audio nirvana for video ecstasy? Here's another option I just found. It's a 70 inch Sharp LC-70LE735U 3D LED. Or the LC-70LE745U. Except these are edge-lit, so probably not.
