Winter's Bone
Good movie, well done, but talk about a world I would never survive in. Harsh and scary.

The first season of Treme. Watched the first two episodes last night. Having lived through some of what is presented in this series, its a good reminder of how far we've come - but in the same breath a not so good reminder of what it was like after Katrina. I don't think we could have watched this any sooner than now; some things take longer to heal than others. So far we can chuckle through a lot of it. Lots of great music and true to fact story line.

On you tube, I watched the Rankin Bass 1977 animated Hobbit. Make fun of all you want (Bob). I love it.

Thursday's Community was a pretty great stab at a Law & Order episode. They got the format down really well. I still miss the original Law & Order. They ended it in a season that I thought was shaping up to be really good.

Law and Order is my preferred "detective" series, for the script and the music.

I watched a chic flick called "Monte Carlo". Was pretty good, actually. I can't remember why it was in my Netflix queue.

I really liked The Five-Year Engagement. Pretty long runtime for a romantic comedy, but it didn't drag for me. I thought they kept it interesting the whole time. Jason Segel has a long career ahead of him as a screenwriter if he keeps putting this much thought into what he makes. Great comedic performances by tons of people I like, too.
