Savor was awesome. I had so many good beers, but I'll list the ones that really stood out for me. I kinda went on an IPA kick...

Upland's Gilgamesh (Flanders Red Ale)
Oakshire's Skookumchuck Wild Ale
Coronado Idiot IPA
Fat Head's Head Hunter IPA
Sierra Nevada Hoptimum
Fegley's Hopsolutely
DC Brau's The Corruption IPA

All attendees got to take home a bottle of Terra Incognita, a collaboration brew by Sierra Nevada and Boulevard Brewing. Here's a making of video about the beer.

On a business trip in Wuerzburg, Germany at the moment. Managed to find a glorious golden half hour this afternoon in the Hochberg area where my hotel is. Not bad for a bberry pic I thought:

Cheers all!

Well I guess not all German beer is dark. I hope it's not all business though.

It was a local Pilsner. Usually I prefer darker beers, but this one is good. The right atmosphere always helps bring out the enjoyment however. Plus I know how to order this one in German but get tongue tied on the others. laugh confused

Sounds like a good place for a business trip!

Speaking of business trips, I'm hoping I get the go ahead to go to a workshop this year in Banff, Alberta Canada. I've never been to Canada and would love to check out the mountains and scenery in this area. If I can find a good beer I can even post in this thread too!

Nice!! That used to be my winter stomping ground.

If you are a golfer, you have to play a round at the Banff Springs course. Its one of the top rated courses in Canada and has a LOT of stunning views. I used to go for early morning walks with the Elk on the course.

Banff is gorgeous! You will love it. I never played the golf course as my time was limited.

If I could rewind life, I would have moved to Banff or Whistler to find work in my student years. The only problem might be that I probably would have ended up as one of those 40 something waiters that you see still waiting tables while looking at their watches so they can finish up and go ski. Actually, that probably wouldn't be a problem at all.

Murph, you lousy threadjacker, there was no libation in that post whatsoever! And it wouldn't have taken very much effort, either.

Anyway, I now have a two-faucet kegorator. (and the fans go wild!). It started innocently enough; my wife said "we should get a keg for Emily's graduation party" and I kind of took the concept to its absurd extreme, as men are wont to do. Pics sometime later, but I have draft beer at my house. Bwahahaha!

It currently houses the 20:20 Blond and Evolution IPA from Two Beers Brewing in Seattle. They are worthy.

More later.
