Bonde Do Rolê - TropicalbacanalDecent album. Definitely a different feel than their first album. I like the new singer just as much as the singer they booted after the first album.

Enjoying a lot of Grimes live performances on YouTube tonight. Try this one out: Grimes - Vanessa by Ian Perlman at Pianos, CMJ 2011She's pretty tame in that one, but I also love the ones where she's just a spaz. I'll have to see her in person sometime.

An Emily Wells session on Daytrotter. It sounds really good, and it includes a track that hasn't been released except in videos on YouTube (and which I heard in concert), but I had to sign up for their trial to listen, and I have to actually purchase a membership to be able to download it. Debating.

Listened to Green Day's Uno! on YouTube. It was OK, meh. More of the same, circa their 1990s and early 2000s sound. I don't see a reason to buy it. I could just listen to Warning or Nimrod again to get the same effect.
Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

WXPN World Cafe - Grace Potter and the NocturnalsFrom the GPN blog - "Seriously, how could you have heard this in 2006 and not understood what was up here?" Includes a couple songs not on the albums, some engaging banter, and Grace in amazing voice. Yes, I feel like I am approaching CV/Regina post-count territory, but I just don't care.

They look much heavier in the album covers than they actually sound. 2 songs so far and they remind me of NickelBack.
