Are you sure it's the blood pressure medication you are looking for?

Started working on my speaker mounting project again. Will provide pictures when all done. 3 M22's across top, M22 - VP160 - M22 across bottom. Probably be about a month. Take 2 to 3 weeks to prime and paint board and let it dry sufficiently.

I'm getting an itch to get a pair of QS8 Surround Speakers in a Real Wood Finish With Custom Wood Oak Cinnamon in Satin low gloss With Burnt Sienna grilles.
Should I scratch it, or just apply liniment?
They will have to be placed halfway between me and the screen. It's the only location available. Later I'd add a third that goes directly to the rear for a 6.1 setup. I've mentioned this before and got a lot of negative replies on placement, but wouldn't it sound better this way than without any surrounds?

I'm curious more than anything... How far in front of you are they? Is hanging them from the roof out of the question?

I'm curious more than anything... How far in front of you are they? Is hanging them from the roof out of the question? The surrounds would be about 4 feet from the screen, and I would sit 4 or 5 feet back from the surrounds. Hanging from the ceiling is out of the question for several reasons. 1) Any seating positions behind the speakers would be odd. 2) It's a vaulted ceiling with only half the ceiling in the room. High one side, low the other. 3) They would look much better mounted in the positions I've reserved for them. For normal mounting positions, there's the entry to the dining room on one side, and a wide window covered in blackout curtains on the other side.

FMSQS stands at 90 degrees? Stands would be in the way for the new furniture I'm going to buy later. There will be a couch on the far wall to the rear. A table with lamp in the corner. Two love seats, side by side going across the wall where the window and curtains are. Good for larger groups this way. Then I'll have the option to pull out a love seat for up close viewing whenever I want (With padded underside to not scratch hardwood floor).

I'm curious to hear others thoughts on this as well. (I'm considering placing my front presence at 60 degrees, which would be in a similar position to what you've asked about here.) P.S. I think its cool you have your own thread.

You must have a much wider room. I'm somewhat limited. To the front, is a 5 foot wide TV. To the left of the TV is a closet door then the left wall. To the right of the TV is a stairway leading up, then the right wall. Still working on mounting the speakers, but will have M22's lined up with the left and right edges of the TV mounted above and below the TV. A 5th M22 above the TV in the center, and a VP160 in-cabinet mounted below the TV. Mounting should be done within 30 days. Doing some painting, etc at the same time, and have to allow for dry time.
Having the QS8's mounted on the side walls, should expand the sound stage quite a bit, depending on what's playing on them.
