Thanks. I didn't know that was there.

So far, I like the overall sound with EQ on better than changing the tone controls, except for some of the highs. Maybe my ears need to adjust, i don't know. I'll have to get other's opinions too. I just don't remember having this problem before. Will have to play around with it some more.

One thing that seems to help a bit, is to set dynamic volume to the Day setting, leaving EQ on. Doesn't remove the problem entirely, but tames it a bit. It could be that my ears are just more sensitive to certain frequencies. But then, why didn't I ever notice this with the Pioneer receiver?

Another chalk mark for Pioneer.

This is almost funny. Sounds like I'm claiming Denon to be bright, and Pioneer to be warm and fuzzy sounding.

I just ordered my last Axiom Speaker (yeah right), for a while. It's a QS8 in eggshell white custom vinyl with white grilles, to go on the back wall, plus 40 foot of cable. All other wall mounted speakers are in standard black, but this one would probably look better in white on that particular wall. This will complete my 6.1 setup for the living room. The only other speaker option I might consider in the future would be to upgrade my EP350 to an EP500.

Next upgrades would be from OPPO 93 to 103, and from Denon 3312ci to Pioneer SC-65. Then I can A/B the 2 receivers for a while to see which one I really like the best. (This would basically be Audyssey vs MCACC.)

Speaking of last speaker... I should order a driver and another amp, so i can have 3 EP-600's that are working speakers......

Oh... Get the 500, or a pair of 600's...

I've tried the QS8's in the wide position as surrounds for a week now. Tonight, I'm going to switch them to wides and recalibrate, then try them this way for up to a week. Then see which way I like them the best.

LOL. The 500 would be more than ample for that room. The 600's would strain my budget a bit too much. I'm waiting for that trade up program. When and if that ever materializes.

I want an EP500 in Sorrel Pear and Burnt Sienna Grill. Cost $1375 before any trade-up discount. My EP350 in Cinnamon Beech and Black Grill was $840 a couple of years ago.

Sometimes, I with I had ordered all of my speakers in Eggshell White. With current room colors, I think that would look really good.

I was watching "The Time Traveler's Wife" movie last night while sitting on the far side of the room, and was just noticing that the 3 M22's across the top of the TV really helped in carrying the quiet scenes to my ears.

F A I L !

Audyssey won't let me have wides without surrounds. It just gives me an error message to fix the surrounds first, then retry is my only option. So power off, switch speaker connections back to the way they were, and forget about that option.

This is nuts. Uploaded iPad photo to photobucket. Photo was upside down. I rotated it right side up on photobucket and pasted link here. Picture is still upside down.

Took 4 hours total, but got 2nd surround speaker wire hidden in wall.

Funnycatsite.com has a rather weird sense of humor in my option. With those very sad looking faces, I only hope they found a good home.
