Looks like blu-ray.com has a filter that helps me find all the 6.1 and 7.1 movie listings. Of those that I have in 6.1, looks like.
Crash, Dirty Dancing, 1st 2 Harry Potter movies, Lord of the Rings, All Star Wars, Stargate, Total Recall, X-Men Last Stand.
7.1 many more.

Watched Transformers, Dark of the Moon tonight. Rear surround got a good first workout. Turning it up 1/2 decibel helped a bit also.

Obi Wan researches cat light sabers. The force is strong with that one.

I ordered one of these today. Hot Link Pro Remote Control Booster System Otherwise known as an IR Repeater (or extender). This will allow me to use the original remotes and a good universal without the RF capability. (NOTE: Components are behind the wall TV is mounted on.)

I was looking at the universal remotes on amazon. While reading the revews I'm finding the following recent comments to be a theme with these remotes.
Don't buy from Amazon. Not an authorized seller. No warranty.
Buggy remote. Keeps losing it's programmed functions.
Requires special software that doesn't come with remote and you can't buy it.
The software that used to come with it doesn't come with it anymore.
Missing or inadequate instructions.

Anyone considering a URC (Universal Remote Control) remote should check the prices at Surf Remote Control. Just give them them a call and ask what the current discount price is for the remote in which you are interested. They are authorized dealers, have great prices, and are super nice folks to deal with. It may be possible to find a better price, but you should definitely check with them before buying.
