You ripped all that music at 640 kbps? You already posted the specs that your car player accepts a maximum of 320...
I speak from experience - an aftermarket Clarion head unit in my Subaru, and the factory unit in my new Kia. Plug in a stick with files higher than the rated bitrate and you'll get silence. Yes, I tried it.
I have about 1900 files on a 16gb stick, about 3gb free.
It's disappointing that none of the car systems seem to play wavs or flacs. But against road noise, engine noise and wind noise, adequate quality really is adequate.

Sorry, nobody spotted my boo-boo so, I didn't point it out either. I ripped them at 320. 640 was a typo.

I ordered the 32 GB mini flash drive today. Should have it by Monday. Then I can copy my MP3's to it. Run by a dealer with an FJ Cruiser with prime sound system, and try it out.

Hmmmm. Or just copy a few cd's worth to one of my smaller ones. Doh!

Going to watch the fist disc of the 2 disc 3D version of The Hobbit tonight.

Does anyone know if each disc contains 1/2 of the movie, or is most of the movie on the 1st disk with a small portion left over on the 2nd?

I haven't seen the movie yet, btw.

Sounds like you can't wait for the extended version to come out.

I watched the entire movie in 3D last night. A little under 2/3 of movie is on Disc 1, with the last 1/3 plus, or 1 hour 15 min. on disc 2.

I found The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to be a very enjoyable experience. Can't wait to watch it again.

Some joggers passing by my house stopped and told me they smell gas in the street near my home. I went out and sure enough, could smell gas in front of my house. Called gas company, they came out and marked up several places that gas was seeping out of the ground. At least it's out near the street and either under or near the sidewalk. It should get fixed sometime today.

And no, I haven't been eating too many burritos.

I emailed the man that calibrated 3 THX modes on my Panasonic 65VT50 plasma last June. I'm going to have him calibrate 4 isf modes on it now. I don't like the motion problems that THX modes have. I can use motion enhancers with the isf modes for a much more enjoyable picture. The THX is just too blurry a picture in action movies.
