OK - We're slipping here on the boards. Almost 2 months and no beer post !? We had dinner the other night with the owners (and good friends well before that) of Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company and after dinner and some good conversation they sent us home with a variety of beers they had collected, including THIS marvelous rye ale - OMG a meal in a bottle! Since we are in the midst of moving to Alpharetta, GA we didn't think it would keep, so we decided to drink it. When looking up the label to post here, it says good for cool crisp evenings - - - - Welllllll its 90F outside on our front porch and Mrs Classic proclaimed this would be good in the winter time.. I would call it Flannel Shirt Ale. Didn't know how right she would be, but I'm not too surprised

Neat!
The rye beer of theirs that you shared with me was a revelation. It was about my favorite rye thing ever.
Hope the move is good for you and the family. I don't envy you. Good luck.
Peter and I drank some 15%abv IPA at 2 Beers Brewing in Seattle that is in the conversation for best beverage of all time.

This article ranking 36 cheap American beers is good for several big beer belly laughs. The author's sense of humor made me wonder if Tom had created an alter persona for a moonlighting gig at Deadspin.
Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

It's even funnier when you have one of each of the beers as you read about them!

I thought the article was very funny! And SO MANY comments arguing about the subject of least-worst!

I didn't see Pearl or Pearl Lite in that list - it's far cheaper than some that made the list - but that's a different story.
