Thanks for the reply...
I'm waiting on the new model rollout in August to see if they have addressed the sync issue yet. If you look at the AVS board, there are several discussion about it. My ISF calibrator has raved about Samsung since he worked on my 5 year old Hitachi last fall. There will probably be a Sammy i my future at some point.

Hi White Raven
Beautiful! As long as you asked however, here are my 2 kopeks worth of advice -
1. I'd get the M80s up off the carpet - grab a couple of slabs of polished granite to put under the M80s.
2. I'd move your side surround QS8s so they are not on the back wall, but on the side walls about even with your couch. Looks like your room will accommodate that layout.
3. Leave the center rear (6th channel) QS8 where it is.
Very nice room, very nice system. Enjoy the music!

Serious question: Do the granite slabs work better than carpet spikes in your experience?
Frivolous question: Does polished sound better than unpolished?

Polished is pretty and easier on your Axiom's bottoms.
I think mine sound better sitting on granite slabs (I prefer Brazilian uba tuba for its green and black intrusions) than on the carpet, spikes would probably be fine. Of course combine uba tuba slabs with superior speaker cabling and you'll really be cooking.

Is there a break in period on that granite?
I have some left over blue pearl granite from when I did my bathroom floor. Will this timber match my M60s?
It's not monster granite, though. Just some junk they cut out of a Norwegian quarry.

Obviously, and don't laugh. The harder the material you put under the speaker, the longer the break in period. Blue Pearl? I'm sorry, but as the scientists on this board will tell you, blue reflects the higher more energetic frequencies - very good for a laid back speaker with rolled off highs, but with Axioms? Your ears will bleed.

This is exactly right. The high frequency of the "blue" region of the visible spectra makes it very prone to scattering. This is in fact the reason the sky is blue. And a "bright" blue at that. So I suppose then we can extrapolate to say that Red marble would be ideal (If it has to be visible that is)?
