Hey All,
Just a heads up, retailers are now down to the final units in Canada for the ST60 line of Plasma TVs. I'm sure the scenairo is the same in the States. Don't wait if you are waiting to pick up a great value TV with an amazing picture.
Tracked one down yesterday out of province after many phonecalls. Plasma train is leaving folks.

Stop that!
Do Want, but I'm just not in the market for that purchase now. Samsung is still making plasma TV's. And I hope that - by the time I am able to replace my display - the other technologies will have evolved to the point where they offer comparable quality and value.
Still... Dammit.

Ha Tom! Fixed... oops. The cars of course. If you are waiting out the next tech, OLED may have matured to an affordable format by then. Few years away perhaps. Samsung will run plasmas for the 2014 model year. Then done.

A little over a year ago, I got a 60ST50. Talked my best friend into a 60ST60 5 months ago. Both of us are ecstatically happy with our purchases.

I agree with everyone. Little over a year ago (Jack and I must've picked up the TV bug at the same time) got a 50ST50. Love the picture and colors of the plasma.

They are also awesome at heating the bedroom on those chilly evenings.

We balked on the plasma and went with LED even though i needed blackout curtains anyway. (yes, this is partial buyers remorse)
At some point the RPTV in the media room will be replaced with OLED. I hope the RPTV can last!
