Further to my last on 'Gettysburg' - I guess that my neighbour was 'enjoying' the final battle scene as well in his house next door - & he is quite deaf, ha!

Fargo and Louie have been good, and Mad Men's mid-season finale was satisfying.

Watched the new 'RoboCop' Blu Ray last night. Quite enjoyable but the audio seemed to be recorded at a higher level than most movies lately. Turned it down from my normal -10 Db to -15 Db... Review here: http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/o...ray-review.htmlTAM

Filled the seats last night watching Prometheus. Loved it and the references to the other Alien movies. With exception to the popcorn chomping at the start it was probably the best sounding /enveloping movie I've watched at home to date. In 5.1! Focus on my PJ was perfect too, which always helps.

The audio on the Lone Survivor Blu-ray is satisfying.
I went to see Edge of Tomorrow with my sister, her husband, and their son last night. It was a decent summer popcorn movie. I wasn't all that interested until I heard the narrative structure was inspired by video games, that it was basically a sci-fi Groundhog Day, and that it was directed by Doug Liman of The Bourne Identity renown. Well, all of that, and I like Emily Blunt. There's nothing deep about the story, but the general premise is enough to entertain. I'd be interested in reading the book it's based on simply to see how different it is, since the screenplay went through so many rewrites.

I dusted off my Blu Ray of 'Super 8' last night.
I had forgotten how dynamic & scary the soundtrack was, even at -10 Db. Very pleasing & a darn good movie as well...
