I'd love to hear your thoughts on the RS150, just to confirm whether or not Curtis and I are nuts. In reply to:
LOL! Some people already think we are! But I have read enough about the RS150 and RS250 from others, combined with what we heard, I am pretty sure they are just very far from our liking.

As long as they're all the same -- to minimize any possible variation in sound -- the interconnects shouldn't matter.

For interconnects, I use Better Cables with the "bullet" connectors. AV123 has some stands they are sending me for the test, one pair for each speaker pair.
Mark Schifter is pretty enthused about this comparison... does anyone from Axiom ever peruse the sight ?
And Curtis, I would be happy to try a pair of Ascends in this... if they are interested !

I'm sure everything will be on the up-and-up, but it does remind me of a personal watercraft shootout a magazine performed using manufacturer-supplied skis. Everybody sent factory spec skis - except Yamaha. Turned out later that Yamaha had souped up their entries (which, of course, smoked all the others in top speed and acceleration tests).

I think the Rocket is supposed to arrive today. He's running a thread over at the HomeTheaterSpot, but nothing has been posted since the 14th.

Jack is right. And the speaker arrived today, and were set up tonight. Thanks to Mark Schifter for sending stands for both speakers. Right now I am playing songs from the Foutplay "Between the Sheets" Cd... lots everything... brass, guitar and bass guitar, drums...
These are both pretty darn good... no subwoofer hooked up now...
