I liked the review, but don't really agree with the description of the M22's soundstage. I don't doubt that that's what Craig heard in his room, but in my room (13'x12', sitting about 8' away from speakers that are toed-in slightly), the soundstage easily reaches out to the walls with some material. Often the soundstage is so wide and deep, that it sounds like my surrounds are playing even though I'm listening in Stereo mode.
Just nitpicking.

I don't honestly remember the width of the soundstage of my M22ti's, but certainly the M60's are like that. Nearly every single person who has ever come over for a listen walks up to the QS8's and checks to see if they're on.

I have experienced the same phenomenon with both M22s and my current M60s. Though I don't have the answer, I've always wondered if I wasn't getting reflections off the side walls.

I do that every time I go over to Peter's and he's listening in 2 channel. Damn, but those speakers are good!

Maybe, if Craig had his 22s closer to the side walls, he would've experienced a wider sound stage as we do. Maybe not.

I have no doubt that room reflections have something to do with it. To be fair, though, I once propped big pillows on the walls where the primary reflections would bounce and still heard the enveloping effect.

Nah, if you've seen Peter's setup, he's got them pretty much in the middle of the room (between the walls.) I'd say they're about 6 ft away from the side walls.

Could be any number of things in the room. Maybe he didn't have them pulled out far enough or something.

Ken, the room is only 12' wide. They're about 3 to 3.5' away from the side walls.
