I love my M80 v2 and I would gladly have upgraded to v4 if someone - anyone - could convince me that I'd hear a noticeable difference. There would be a subtle difference. If you did an A/B test of the two side by side you would say that the .V4 was better. But if you simply unplugged your .V2 and replaced them with the newer .V4 you would most likely miss the differences. Not to say the improvement is not worth it, but the speakers you have are very exceptional

I have a bunch of drivers (late v3 and early v4 mix) and some v4 crossovers waiting to go into my v2s. One of these days...

At the last Axiom gathering, I was impressed by the mids of the B&W Diamond bookshelf vs the M3. There was a quality to the female vocals that brought the Diamonds one step closer to being truly transparent. If Axiom could bring a similar improvement to the M80, that would be amazing.

I have heard a pair of M80ti's and I have owned a pair of M80.V4's and I would not say they were night and day different. I thought that both of them sounded exceptional and yes the .V4 did sound better but I could not put my finger on what was different. I am basing my opinion on psychoacoustics in you brain will have a very hard time to distinguish two sounds that are very close to each other if you don't sample them back to back several times. Perhaps it is just me as I am not a trained listener

The incremental improvements would take a backseat to other far more important things..... Like your new room soon Mojo.... Then you can get every drop out. You cannot complete your transition to the darkside in the Dojo. Placement, acoustics and toe in would bias differences far more than version incremental upgrades I'd guess. (But I have nothing to go by but my own messing around.)

Perhaps it is just me as I am not a trained listener In early 2007 I listened to the M80ti and was extremely disappointed with the linearity. When I heard the M80v2, I pulled the trigger. If there's as much of a difference between the v2 and the v4, as the ti and v2, I'd definitely upgrade.

Why don't I just sell everything here, come out there, buy one of everything Axiom, Bryston, Golden Ear and Paradigm, kick the missus out and we'll have an A/V party the rest of our lives. Yaaaahooooooooo!!!!!!

I my self only learned of Axiom in late 2013. So only know V.4 most likely there has to be noticeable difference in all Versions or why else would they keep updating. As I've come across in these forums there's already a big difference in the tweets as they've changed them from a plastic cover. So there's likely material upgrades in other components {Woofer, crossover, cabinet}.
Sounds like audio bliss mojo though the room for the equipment would make the bliss of the components shine.
