...and that is the ONLY way to do it. Quality only hurts once. Do it right the first time. If it takes a little longer, so be it.

I agree. I'm anxious/excited, not impatient

It was interesting to note that from my viewpoint, there was a surprising lack of anything related to this product at the factory during the 35th anniversary event mid September.
I saw one in the test lab and the disassembled one at the resort that we were playing with.
Beyond that...nothing I noticed.

Apparently the mould is being made as we speak. So hopefully it will all come together nicely and be shipping soon.

Still no news on this speaker, that is kinda weird. I thought it was going to make it for Christmas. Must still be having problems with it.

Maybe no news is good news? Well, when you have waited six months for something you paid for it gets a little old. I feel sorry for the folks that forked out for ten of these, crazy!

Most Kickstarters run late, but I figured Axiom would be more or less on target given they know how to build speakers! I wonder what the current hold up is (some more frequent updates would be good).

This hasn't been handled the way Axiom has done with everything else in the past. I haven't actively followed this thread, but judging by the comments, there's been a severe lack of information regarding the current production stage etc., and just answering members questions. That's not Axioms MO. We've always been kept in the loop; that's what makes Axiom a great company. It's even more troublesome (and frustrating especially for those who have paid for it) due to it being partially or wholly publicly funded via Kickstarter.
I'm sure someone is going to shit on that because it's me, but it's an objective opinion from someone that loves Axioms products and philosophy.

I knew the industrial design for the Air was going to be a challenge when I first saw the Air video. I sincerely hope Axiom doesn't over-look important details before shipping. The memory of late shipping will be quickly erased if/when the Air yields a moving listening experience.
