What is new for Axiom is the move info Software. I've been a beta tester for years for JRiver's Media Centre and know how hard it can be to get this sort of software working, and working well. I'll be interested to see how it goes but as there is a MC build for the Pi I can always cross flash my AA's if needed.

Combine the drivers, 150watts, small enclosure volume = high probability of unwanted enclosure vibrations if there is not enough stiffness in the design of the enclosure. Looking at the picture on Facebook of the new mould there could be more stiffness In the new design of the mould. Look at the grid pattern. JBL EON's have a thick plastic case with a very strong design but you can still hear the enclosure make noise at high volumes and bass.

Axiom's not building the software. I doubt they even authored any requirements for it. Perhaps they authored features; that's about it. I do wonder if they'll do any acceptance testing on the software. I hope users don't end up having to do the acceptance testing.
How they end up supporting the software throughout its life-cycle will be interesting.

Yeah...that's always concerned me. But you know what? If there's any audible resonance, back it goes!

When it came time to hit the button on the kickstarter and order it I always hesitated. I had unanswered questions, very basic things not being answered here, and still not answered btw, and it made me think that the design just wasn't finished or near it. They had an idea but not a working prototype? I don't know, that is just what kept crossing my mind and the lack of responses here just made me hesitant to order...then when I said @#$@ it I'll do it anyways, I was like 2 hours late lol. I can understand peoples frustration.

I think too many people are impatient. Our society is inundated with too much instant end products for use, purchase or consumption from instant texts to instant oatmeal. If something isn't available on hand instantly, the herds must gripe. Kickstarter provides funds for an IDEA with an end product. There is no guarantee of an end product though so why the hell would anyone think their Kickstarter money was used as if they just bought something on Amazon shipping the next day? I'm sure Axiom will develop the Air, but to assume it was just going to be done and ready in months at most is naive. There's people already complaining they haven't received a unit a month after the Kickstarter project completed funding. For those with that instant gratification mentality that have themselves in a frustration-fueled merry go round, i have no sympathies.

I saw (and heard) a working prototype back in February 2015. Looked great, and while they were tweaking the sound of it, it sounded really good, and people in the office were playing back music pretty easily.
At the time (11 months ago) the biggest issue was getting the rounded components built effectively, efficiently, and up to Axiom standards. I saw one of the guys in the back working on a recently 3D printed part, and he even said something like "while we *could* sand this smooth, we don't want to have to do that with every one that we make" or something like that. To me, I was under the impression that they were working on the kinks way back then, but were close to having a product ready to go. With all of the time since then I would say that they don't want "a" product ready, but then want a quality product ready.

To me, I was under the impression that I could cut this off here Nick as it demonstrates my point. The impression/opinion = ASSUMPTION people form these days is that something will be ready soon, instantly, shortly, more so than the thought "hey, i wonder if this could take awhile for a finished product" or "there is evidence a prototype is in development enough for me to support the Kickstarter idea, but as a generally sane individual i KNOW that technology creation (e.g. CRT tvs exist for decades from B&W to colour to flat screens to big screens then finally in the 2000s decade almost 20 years for -- LCD--LED--OLED tvs...) still takes years to develop to a finished product, if ever". they were working on the kinks way back then, but were close to having a product ready to go. With all of the time since then I would say that they don't want "a" product ready, but then want a quality product ready. No doubt Axiom will only release a fairly solid product before releasing it and even then, after it ships it will also no doubt have revisions after the masses find faults during large scale field testing. Some of the new developments which i saw during my first tour of the factory in 2004, didn't come to fruition as completed products for years. It was lip biting to keep the secret quiet on the upcoming DSP subwoofers back then until they were released!

Chess, While I have "no skin in this game", and I agree with you in that people "expect" everything very quickly, Ian was on here telling folks of the progress and setting the expectation of availability very shortly in Oct 2015 with the statement "It is so close now". People cannot be questioned for reading that and wondering where this stands 2 months later. So, people in this case are taking queues from the Master! I indicated that at the 35th, there were none to be seen, and IMHO, the electronic section of the Air we abused was not ready for prime time.
