Are those ports on the front? a lan port on the front?
I'm not sure what help I can offer anyone without a unit but I am a Sys admin and network admin for wired/wireless so from that point of view ask away.

All ports are on the front, behind a closeable door.

USB is a breeze. Just plug it in and the AA starts reading it automatically. The software also allows to you queue songs (which is nice) and create playlists. Very easy to use. I have not been successful yet in the AA reading my network drive. I will have to play with that some more tomorrow.

So Lan port is on the front. Kinda messes things up for me. Wanted to hardwire it in a spot wireless is sorta weak in the house. Have it connected to my home network and nas/or pc via wired and just use a phone to control it.

wonder if something like this would fit with the door closed. I have one in my car-very small. https://www.amazon.ca/SanDisk-Cruzer-Low...*=1&*entries*=0

That would easily fit. I have one like that in my car. With the door closed, you have about an inch clearance.

I read this as the unit having an Ian port. I thought that would have been pretty cool.... like a Super Secret Master Key kind of thing. Ian flies in, plugs in a key that hangs around his neck, and you have access to unreleased Jimi Hendrix songs covered by Elvis.... recorded YESTERDAY!! ::Cue Dramatic Teaser Audio::

I played around again tonight to try to get my AA to hook up with my router (both thru the Galaxy TAB S & Win Vista Lap Top) & hence the internet - still no go. Still Flashing Red & Blue Lights - a steady Blue Light means it is properly hooked up to the router/internet.
Plays my Thumb Drive nicely though...

Tam, I used the first method in the instructions (iOS AirPlay) to set my AA up, which forced it to connect to my network. Do you know anyone who has an iPhone 5 or 6 who is local? Maybe ask them to come over real quick and see if they can stream to the AA using AirPlay. This will force the unit to connect to your network. I know it's not the preferred method, but it would be interesting to see if this method temporarily works to get your AA connected to your network. If it doesn't then there is something different about your network and my network. Steve

Okay,
I was successful in linking the music from my Network drive to the AA Software! It turns out you have to enter the router's IP address in the "NAS IP Address" field, then list the subdirectory field. It was a little confusing because the NAS IP Address field states "IP Address of your Network Drive" instead of "IP Address of your Router". I should have figured it out sooner.
So, in less than a day I have been able to connect using AirPlay on an iOS device, connect via the web on a PC device, link a network drive with a music directory, and play music via USB. Really not bad at all for a "Beta" unit with "Beta" software. The software can use some polish, but it is definitely working well for such an early version.
Sometime this week I will try to take the unit away from home and see how well it performs outside of my network range, but that may have to wait until the weekend.
