Hi Ian,

Was just curious if I got added to the beta list and wondering when shipment will happen. I'm eager to test one out smile

Thanks,

-Stu

Hi Purist,

We will be shipping yours next week also. It will be the week to ship all the Beta AxiomAirs. The white ones will be first and then the rest of the black ones. I think we should slip one in for Mark too.

Thanks, Ian, but I'm honestly in no rush and I'd make a lousy Beta tester for this because networking is not my forte!

I wasn't hinting in my post above. I had just been so casual about whenever it came in, but now that others are talking it up, I'm looking forward to it!

That might actually make you a good beta tester, though.

Ian, beta means the hardware/software/system may be unstable, features may be missing and users should use at their own risk.

I think what you mean is these are for field trials. A field trial is testing a product under the conditions it will be used.

Am I correct?

Mark:

If I can get my network to work with my ineptitude, you probably can, ha!

With my new router (PITA to install) & older signal booster, I'm getting great signals to all of my devices now. They work so much better with a strong & steady signal...

Andrew:

You are correct for there being as trick to obtain the correct link to get the AA to decode some streaming sites.

It seems that anything with 'streamtheworld' won't work on mine.

I need to do more experimenting & searching...

@TAM,

Routers are flaky things, they seem to be working but after time never work as well as when they are new. Plus, technology advances so quickly. Try to make it a point to change them out every 5 years or so. It's the best $60 you will spend.

I have beta tested things before but I have been a tech geek all my 41 years. I've done more I.T stuff then I could list so I generally can get anything working most times. My guys at work always say I'm the guy that fixes stuff nobody else can. So that should make me a good beta tester correct? I mean I am a sys admin, net admin, electronic eng years ago av installer etc. But you know what? My woman who is ... well clueless with technology is often the better tester. If there is a way to break it or get frustrated with it she'll find it. So it depends on what axiom wants. So just enjoy it and use it. Don't worry about the techy stuff.
