Takeo Morita is an 82-year old retired lawyer. He has an $80,000 pair of amps from the U.S. and German Speakers. No brands were named.
He just did what extreme audioholics in Japan have started doing. A power conditioner? What, and still "hear" the neighbor's blender in the music? Uh-uh.
He has become one of a growing number of Japanese audio freaks to shell out for his OWN power, direct from the provider. How?
To do this, they have a 40' cement pole installed on their property (about $10,000 US). Then, for an additional $40,000, they have their own transformer installed on top.
He sat the interviewer down to listen. He put on Queen (he's 82!). "See," he said, "now Queen are right here in my living room!"
You go, Takeo!

The article (WSJ) did not mention a Mrs. Morita. Could be a big life insurance payout? From murder?! He IS a lawyer after all. Besides, Fred, it's not that HE has too much money, it's that WE don't have that much. Right? S.B.: Yes, at least $50k from the looks of it. When one is "chasing the dragon," money is of no consequence. Ask Stevie Tyler.

Dragons are highly over rated. On the subject of money, most who win a big pile end up the worse for it.
And yes, he does have too much money, some of which he should immediately send to me because I to want to be worse off.
