I came home from work and checked my email.
Houston, we have a tracking number ! The PC Ultra will be delivered on Tuesday.
I can't wait! When my first ever sub arrives, I will finally be able to watch a movie on my big screen in full, glorious, 5.1 sound! I can't wait to hear the Avia guy say "LFE" out of something other than the left front M60.

Well I hooked up my new SVS PB1-ISD on Friday and enjoyed it for about 30 minutes until it blew up during the playing of "Master and Commander". It now has a lawn mower sounding rattle down the whole low frequency field. Hopefully SVS tech support will remedy the situation.
More to follow.......

Their customer service is reputed to be excellent. I don't think you'll have any problem........beyond the one you already have, of course.

There's a good tip for anyone looking to give there surrounds & sub a workout - Master & Commander. I watched it last night and it was an orgy of sound evelopment. Creaking floorboards, crashing waves, rain pouring down, cannonballs whizzing overhead - it was fantabulous!

Hmm - How come I haven't heard of this movie? I assume it's on DVD? If so, how long has it been out?

DJ,
It came out on DVD last Tuesday. It's the one with Russell Crowe as the captain of the HMS Surprise. It's set in the late 18th or early 19th century. It's a "guy" flick. Worth seeing and, as noted above, a great sounding movie.

No worries, mate.
I'm single, my job keeps me very busy, I'm remodeling the house, and I have a girlfriend.
The china hasn't seen the outside of a box in 2 years.

I'm sure the music will be lovely, thank you.
According to UPS, my sub has been in town since 4:41 this afternoon! I am working from home tomorrow just to be sure that I'm here when it arrives. I don't think that I'll be getting all that much work done...
