Brightness really depends on the DAC processing (reciever setting) selected and the quality of recording. For instance, some classic rock mp3s may sound bright while a FLAC recording of John Mayor is anything but bright. It just sounds like your were there in front of him jamming away on his guitar.

For M80s I also recommend a decent separate amplifier to get effective lower end SPL.

Is there anyone in Calgary who has a pair of M22v4 or M3v4 that I can audition? I need to hear v4 for reasons I don't need to get into here.

I have a pair of Dreamcatchers for 2-channel and while I love almost everything about them, they bottom out on African and Far East drum music when turned up LOUD! Even though I have them crossed over at 60Hz, they still can't take it. I'm really enjoying this type of music and don't want the speakers to limit me.

So I would like to look for a different pair and am willing to give M3s and M22s a shot. For anyone interested, you can hear how amazing a 10 x 10 x 8 foot room sounds when you set up the transducers in a non-traditional way and treat the surfaces with some care.

The culprits here are your old white man ears bottoming out. I'll help you out.....

It might be the bass diffracting off my gorgeous, thick hair - a problem you obviously don't have with your disability smile.

Don't listen to him, Cam. If he has gorgeous, thick hair, it's because it's been paid for and installed.

I'm kidding, Moj, but had you also included the word "lush," then you'd be just another narcissistic buttmunch.

(How old is "Beavis and Butthead?" Spellcheck still will not accept that as a compound word. Let's see if it does the same for shithead. Well, will ya look at that! It thinks THAT is, but not buttmunch. The usage is identical. WTF? Oh, sure, that's perfectly OK, too! No redline under that!)

Thanks, Matt, that's great. I think though, that they should use a 23 gauge pinner instead of the 18 Porter Cable they currently employ.

Did you see the following video, "Black People w/o Soul?"

It's David Allen Greer dressed as Pat Boone singing "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" in a manner that makes Tony Orlando sound like Metallica.

If anyone is in the Cincinnati or Lexington area, please PM me if you are willing to do an auditon!

Currently considering M100,QS10,VP180 and sub is still being debated. I am open to listen to any setups as I am very interested in hearing how the Axioms perform.

Thanks guys!!
