Hi Michael,
You will need a pair of ADA1500-5 amps to drive the Actives which can also be used to drive the M100s for your comparison testing. I will work out some numbers for you.

Does the M100 have HP woofers? In one of axioms video's it's mentioned that the HP option makes it so you don't need a woofer, which tells me the HP upgrade not only goes louder, but players lower?
Lots of speakers from many manufactures...mostly Axiom

M100 comes standard with HP woofers. It goes lower with less distortion. An ADA-1000-2 amp can drive the M100 very, very loud. For the loudest possible, get an ADA-1500-2.
