I recently moved my email to Outlook. Seems to be working OK. I think I go this about every five years or so. My email address gets stollen, then sold to spammers, then I get dozens of crap every day. What a PITA.......

Whew. Been ages since i've been on. I switched to Webnames.ca, bought our own domain name and now control my own email setup. Very reasonable pricing. All servers are on Canadian ground. Gmail and such, only as burner crap emails. Won't trust it any farther than i can throw Google. https://www.webnames.ca/

What did you do with your gmail history? Do you use a phone client for your email with webnames.ca?

What did you do with your gmail history? Do you use a phone client for your email with webnames.ca? Gmail history? I can only assume you mean any emails in the inbox or other folders. I have an email app on my home PC that downloads all locally. I can move those into other local folders on my home PC. I never keep anything on cloud servers. I also never used Gmail extensively. We have a local ISP and have used their email for years but knowing we were switching off that ISP (Bell based so getting more expensive every year), we had to tank our ISP emails. I wanted something like a Gmail, universal, not tied to an ISP, but that was more secure, not a known snooping company who's admitted to reading people's personal email. Having your own domain name was a bonus. mojo@axiomlovers.net mojo_likes_kickassbass@iluvmyaxioms.ca Phone client? I'm assuming you mean what email app i might use. I actually don't use any email app on my phone except for Gmail. To login into my Webnames i use the browser directly. There are email apps one could use though. Find one you like and trust.

Why are folks migrating away from gmail? What did I miss? I’ve got A TON ( well my whole life really ) in Gmail. Should I be concerned about something? This is in no way a detailed security analysis (probably focuses on the least serious issues) but fun to watch: GMail Man

You can start with this; lots of links to the news articles in there and notably, it is/was not just Google doing it (don't trust any of the major 'free' email services): https://www.androidauthority.com/gmail-snooping-882270/

If you want 4K demo material, I can't imagine doing better than Tiny World on Apple TV+. I don't know what cameras they used, but I want a whole documentary on how they filmed it.... Oh, here we go, a short video on how they did it: Tiny World - Behind the ScenesSpeaking of Apple TV+, Ted Lasso finished airing their season, and I found it highly satisfying. Full of optimism and heart, but I didn't find it saccharine or manipulative. It's a nice palate cleanser, and it's one of my top recommendations if you have Apple TV+.

We've been watching "Chef's Table". It's a series on Netflix, showcasing the world's top chefs. Some episodes are just OK, but others - down right amazing. If anyone is a foodie, this is a great show.

We've been watching "Chef's Table". I really like it, and it's my goal to one day try some of the food. So far in my life I'm not inspired to become great at cooking myself, but I sure enjoy it when others do.
