Hi,

I have a chance to pick up this older model sub. 10” driver. Can anyone identify and have specs or can share any info? Is it worth getting for cheap?

Buy it and trade it in at Axiom.

Geez, that's a rather sweet finish.

Ya, but likely wouldn’t get too much for it to make a dent in a new one.

I looked through all the vintage Axiom brochures on Axiom's site plus anything else I could find and didn't see a subwoofer with angled sides.

I would vote yes... and in fact if you decide you don't want it I would probably drive up and buy it from you once all this COVID fun is behind us.

In terms of specs it's probably going to be one of those "only Ian knows for sure" things.

EDIT - I see from your other post that you went ahead with buying it and that it's an AX-150 smile

Axiom began to build with angled boxes in the mid/late 1990's, as the first models were square.
Ian might have replacement parts as the earlier models came with a lifetime warranty for most parts.

But, that might not extend beyond the original owner. I once asked Ian - after a few drinks at one of the Axiom anniversary parties - was that the speakers lifetime or the owners.

Just because the original owner sold the sub doesn't mean that they are not still alive laugh

Years ago Amie told me some want to be buried in their 600s. Not me. I now prefer the more roomy 800 for burial.
