Hey Fellas, I'm thinking about upgrading to a VP180, but I am curious to see what your thoughts are on where I need to place it. I'm pretty sure (but and obviously open to other mounting suggestions) that the only option I have is to have it mounted on a FSM 180 stand directly behind my EP800 that is lying on the floor below my 80" Samsung Q80R. Do you think that this setup will look okay? And does anyone know how far the mount and VP180 would "push" my EP800 out from the wall and into the room? Thanks, Cam https://photos.app.goo.gl/vGo3CQei7R2oMSYy6

Hey Cam. The 180 will look just awesome there, dude.
The FMS180 will push the 800 one foot into the room.

Thanks, Mojo, buddy. Should I get the inverted one?

Also, from what I am reading, the FMS180 is only one inch higher than the EP800 (14.75" width). Is that okay? Will the inch difference cause any issues?
Thanks

Cam, the height of the stand is 16 inches and the 800 lying dead on the floor is 14.75". No problem.
As for the inverted, when you're on your wheels, your ears are about 4 feet off the ground, yeah? Based on my experience with the 160, I'd say get the inverted.

Cam, Mojo
I'm pretty sure I'm not fully understanding this conversation ... but that said
The 800 will have to sit forward of the base of the FMS180 unless you raise the 800 so the base fits under it. You can't put the 800 fulling under the FMS because I'm fairly certain that the stands will be in the way.
As how far out ... You probably don't want the 180 up against the wall so ... the 800 will also be pushed out by that much too. Only the smaller rear end of the 800 is underneath and will probably fit even if raised a bit.
Anyway I'm looking at the same thought. Currently, I've laid a vertical 800 horizontal on the foam it shipped with ... and the VP180HP right now behind that on M3 boxes. The thought being to build something that will hold the VP180 over the 800 which isn't going box sound in. I'm also considering some other options but this is the one I'm favoring at the moment.

You got an 800, eh? Yup. As I said. You're going nuts like me.

I was looking at the stand at one point but my 180 isn't inverted and I think that would be way too low for the center to sit. I was just planning on custom building a stand or I wonder if Axiom could make theirs taller.
