Failure is the norm if it is poorly designed. If you understand the stresses your components will be subjected to, you can design for those stresses. Component screening to ensure design specs are met for critical components is also something that really helps.

So the adhesive wont be hear till the weekend. Called axiom yesterday afternoon, got voicemail, and left a message with my phone number, email, and seriai number of sub-woofer. Even mentioned this post. Heard nothing 24 hrs later. All this is just conjecture as I am expecting the adhesive to work. Investigated purchasing an aftermarket woofer in case a replacement becomes necessary. Yes I realize the DSP wont be tuned to it. I haven't seen anywhere axiom provides the FS,QTS, etc of their sub-woofer. I'm gonna say my room placement isn't that good anyway. Best match I found was Alpine R2-W12D2 . The price is slightly lower than the OEM but I'm sorry to say my confidence is low in my belief that axiom will be able to deliver a replacement in a timely manner. My rule of thumb is , if you aren't available before the sale, you probably wont be available after the sale. Sadly this wasn't always the case with axiom. The issue is the axiom sub's frame isn't exactly round. Unless anyone knows of a sub with a frame cutout like this , it would be required to cut the frame of the aftermarket sub-woofer. Keeping the metal shavings off the magnet and away from the speaker will be an issue. A secondary, smaller issue is the bolt holes might not line up but the old nuts could be removed and reused, additional holes drilled in the cabinet to match the hole pattern of the new woofer. ok finally figured out how to embed nextcloud images on here :-)

If the adhesive doesn't work, this is the woofer you need. https://www.axiomaudio.com/ep500-600-800-woofer

Thanks for the link. I may consider that item but would have to speak with axiom first.
I have a long story about ordering a m22 crossover from that section of the website. I believe I had V2 SI .you notice there are no revision numbers with these parts. My original crossover was attached to the speaker connection sub assembly and what they shipped was an external board with no instructions. I couldn't make heads or tails of it . In the end axiom paid for shipping both ways and apparently installed this add on board. i never opened them back up when they were returned. I traded them in when I upgraded to M80.
So my experience is speak to axiom before ordering any replacement parts.

That's definitely a good idea, Jim. I am quite sure though all the speaker drivers are backwards-compatible.

Speaker cabinet torture implement. Looks more like a Mojo mod to the Nimbus 2000 to help riders stay on their brooms

Well … if it were a flying broomstick mod … I’d just advise riders not to sit upright too quickly As a war club … is there a particular event I need to avoid?

It feels fine between the crotch when the leather sheath is on the bladed point.
Interestingly enough, the injection molded high impact polypropylene is an amazing material. I've beat mine up and there's nary a scratch. The color and grain is terrific and so are the aesthetics and weight. I was thinking it could be a very good material for speaker cabinets.

As far as speaker cabinets… that kind of material (at least from observation) seems to be employed in pro environments where a speaker needs to stand up to a bit of abuse … like road bands which are constantly setting up and taking down.
