I was in the 4th grade when JFK was assassinated. Does that make me whipper? Did they have colleges in 1963?

In the early 70s I was living in an area where I was stuck listening to a couple of local AM stations for music. They played the same stuff over and over which consisted of The Carpenters, Helen Reddy, Elton John and Alice Cooper. I acquired a real disdain for the first three. To this day I don't think I could force myself to listen to a Carpenters album. I must admit though, that, if I was on a desert island and had a choice between Britney Spears, Kid Rock, Linkin Park and the Carpenters I'd choose The Capenters.

Not a fan of her at all but if I was on this mysterious island I would take Britney....wait, are we talking about music?
