Got your CD this morning, Mark, and I was home and actually got a chance to listen to some of it (since my kid is sick with the stomach flu). I like what I've heard so far. (And if it means anything, my wife prefers this disc to spiff's.)

I listened to the rest of the tracks in the car to and from work this afternoon. Unfortunately, I still don't like David Sanborn.

Some stand-out tracks are #12, Devil in a Woodpile -- awesome -- and #18, Long Beach Sub All-Stars -- I had never heard of them before, but Chali 2na's voice (of Jurassic 5) is unmistakable. That track is great.

Ash - send me a PM with your address.

Sorry I haven't sent any of these out yet. Had a hard drive crap out on Sunday on the system with the burners. Why don't I have them on all the computers? Good question - not like the old days of "wait, don't start Calculator - I'm burning a CD... Argh! Coaster!"

I don't know much about any of the artists, but I do know that the Long Beach Dub All-Stars are the remaining members of Sublime with various guests.
I think Devil in a Woodpile hails from Chicago, but I'm not sure. Most of the disc they use a tuba for bass. The song you heard they used a string bass, I think.
Sorry about the Sanborn tune. It seemed to stick out like a sore thumb when I listened to the mix, too. Just lacks soul. All style, no heart. The drums sure sound good on M60s, though.

Hey, I'm just trying to set a good example about feedback. The only response about my mix so far -- cough Mark cough Craig -- has come from a newbie. He likes it.

I've just heard the first couple tracks of your cd today Peter. Work has been hell, and then I've been playing tennis at night. When I get home I eat dinner and crash.

When I first put the disc in, and that first tune started...the one about the shoes...I thought "what the hell is this?"...then about halfway through the song, I was really diggin' it.

When I saw your address, I noticed how close to UCLA you live. It's a shame I'm not being sent to UCLA this time for work.

I know what you mean about being busy. I hate not having enough time to do what I want. But, at least you're getting tennis in (which I assume you want to do).
