At the same site, download the manual for greater detail. It's short.

but is it really worth $249 for a 60, 350,etc. and 3805 setup with a pioneer 578 universal player? cause honestly, at seems like the bass response of the system now is pretty good. i haven't sat down with the Avia, SPL meter, and spreadsheet and graphed it all out, but it sounds better than anything i've heard at friends houses (granted, that not saying much...)

Well, I found it to be worth it. If you're happy with what you hearing, I can't say you would feel the same. By the way, you can get a B-Stock ICBM for $200. That's what I did.

Ash, If your using the pioneer with SACD/DVD-A it would be a must have. Being able to set individual crossover frequencies for each group of speakers would be the ideal solution given that the pioneer has limited bass management capabilities. I had the pioneer 563 which gave me two settings for bass management. Large which sent a full range signal to all speakers or small with the crossover set to 120hz/200hz for SACD/DVD-A respectfully. I believe the 578 does the same. If I had an icbm at the time I would have crossed over my fronts to 60, and my center at 80 or 100.

You can also find Icbm's on audiogon and ebay as well for around 200. I've seen them go as low as 150 plus shipping.

i didn't really notice that that the 578 had such limited bass management capabilities. i guess it's good enough , but not so bad that i'd stand up in outrage. i think i could spring for 200 bucks, if i curtail my dvd and comic book buyin' for a month!
p.s.- great "new" pic!
