While the idea is at first attractive, this approach would require a lot of re-engineering, adding extra amplifiers inside the sub enclosure for the satellite speakers (the internal sub amplifier is dedicated to the subwoofer driver alone). The EP400/500/600 amplifiers are mono amps dedicated to the subs' woofers so you can't use it to also drive satellites. You have to add two more amps for the stereo sats.
This approach would then raise a controls issue--where do you put the level controls for the satellite speakers? They'd be too inconvenient on the back of the subwoofer itself. I think the market for this approach is too narrow as well.
You could certainly use the subwoofer with a pair of M2s if you wish, but only with a separate amplifier for the M2s.
